Custom Jobs - Rules & Commitment Fee
Custom jobs are open competitions. A client posts a brief and a reward - anyone who qualifies can submit. The client (or admin) picks the winners manually after the deadline.
Unlike regular jobs where the first person to submit verified proof wins, custom jobs stay open until the deadline - so competition is the mechanic. Creators can boost their chances by locking CC as a commitment fee.
Participation Rules
Overflow Mode
When a client posts a custom job, they can choose whether to enable overflow.
Overflow ON (default)
Open competition - no slot cap. Any number of creators can join and submit. Admin picks winners from all entries after the deadline.
Overflow OFF
Limited slots - once the winner count is filled, the job closes. Works like a campaign: slot cap is enforced and job auto-closes when full.
Commitment Fee - Boost Your Win Rate
When submitting proof for a custom job, you can optionally lock CC as a commitment fee. Locking CC increases your ticket multiplier - a higher multiplier means a higher chance of being picked as a winner when admin reviews all entries.

How commitment fee works end-to-end
Submit proof with optional CC lock
When submitting your proof URL, you'll see an optional field to lock CC (minimum 10 CC if you want a boost). Your multiplier is shown before you confirm.
CC is locked in escrow
The CC amount is transferred to the platform escrow on Canton Network at the moment you submit. It stays locked until the deadline passes.
Deadline passes - admin picks winners
Admin reviews all submissions and their multipliers. Higher multiplier entries carry more weight in the selection process.
Outcome
Two possible results:
✓ You win
Receive the job reward in CC - plus your commitment fee is returned to you in full.
✗ You don't win
No reward, but your commitment fee is refunded 100%. Claim it from the job page after the deadline.
